Here are a few tips to help you along the way
Dues
$10.00 per person per year. Dues paid on or after October 1st of the year will also extend membership for the entire following year. You will need to print and sign the attached Liability Waiver annually.
Where to take checks for Dues and Trips

All checks and waiver forms should be taken to the Clubhouse front desk. Sorry, no cash or credit cards can be accepted. Ask the receptionist to place your check in the Travel Club envelope. If you are a new member joining for the first time, please be sure to include a note with your phone number and email address along with your Dues check.

If you are paying for a trip:

Make sure any required waiver is signed and included.

If you need to choose a meal, be sure to note your choice on your check.

If you are including payment for multiple people on one check, please note the names of each person. Also be sure to include signed waivers and meal choices for each.

If you want to sit on the bus with a specific group of people, please make note of that as well so we can arrange for it.

Remember, we welcome your guests who are not members of our club; however, please add $5 for each non-member.

When we receive your check, we will send you an email confirmation and flyer. Keep this information available just in case you need to refer to it.
Travel Club Lectures and Travel Programs
We have lectures and programs 3-4 times per year. The programs will vary; there may be a travel vendor presentation or possibly a Travel Club member lecture about their trip to an unusual destination. In January, there will be an annual Travel Club dinner to install the new Board of Directors. In October, the monthly meeting will be about presenting the slate of officers for the membership to vote on for the following year's Board of Directors. The other two programs will be posted on the Upcoming Events page of this website about 2-3 months in advance, and flyers will be sent via email to the membership. Flyers for all trips and events are always available in the Clubhouse. If you don't see one, ask the receptionist or email us at ohcctravelclub2025@gmail.com .
Travel Club Bus Tours
The Travel Club arranges 6-7 bus trips per year. Trips can go as far north as Los Angeles. We try to arrange a diverse selection of trips, from Museums, Animal Sanctuaries, Boat Trips, Gardens, Historic Sites, Concerts, and the like. These are all day trips on a very comfortable, climate-controlled bus. Typically we leave OHCC around 8 am and arrive back at OHCC about 5:30 pm. Departure times will change depending on the distance we need to travel. Typically we also provide a small snack and water during the trip, usually on the way home; but that depends on our departure time.
PLEASE NOTE: The bus leaves on time. If we say the bus leaves at 8 am, the bus will leave at 8 am, with or without you. We will not wait and there are no refunds. Please plan accordingly.
Trip Price
The trip price includes everything that is fully explained on the flyer. Frequently, lunch is included in the cost. However, if it is not included, the flyer will plainly state "lunch on your own" which means lunch is not included in the cost of the trip. The trip always includes cost of the bus, driver tip, admission at destination, and a small snack and water.
Trip Bonus
We base the cost of the trip on about 25 people going, which is our usual "break even" cost. If we get 30 or more, a refund is possible, but please do not assume this will happen.
